What is in a Name?
Bright Mind Spirit is named in honour of my son, Hugo: it is what his name means. Sadly, Hugo died aged 35 days.
In February 2014 I was admitted to hospital at just 24 weeks’ pregnant with severe pre-eclampsia and severe HELLP syndrome, rare life-threatening conditions that occur only in pregnancy. The only cure is to deliver the baby.
Despite everything possible being done to save Hugo, he was too small, and premature.
Since Hugo’s death, I have thrown myself in to creativity as a means of coping with the grief and trauma. I established the award-winning blog Headspace Perspective as a way of raising awareness of HELLP syndrome, birth trauma, premature babies, and moving forward after trauma and loss. It is all part of Hugo’s Legacy.
Hugo’s legacy has also included finding creative solutions to help support families of premature babies and bereaved parents. In addition I have given presentations at conferences (such as the Royal Society of Medicine) about my experiences, the importance of effective health communication, and suggestions for improvements.
I am a leader of the #MatExp campaign, which has included setting up and maintaining the website, helping coordinate social media presence, and writing successful proposals for funding bids and conference presentations.
Why work with Bright Mind Spirit?
As a communications professional and coach, I am passionate about seeking inspiration everywhere, being creative, and uncovering people’s potential.
I bring to Bright Mind Spirit a decade of expertise in communications and social media management. A key part of my work is to producing innovative creative solutions to get a message out to the people who need to hear them.
As a Leadership Coach, I have been fascinated by the sense that we all have so much potential within us. So often, we seek an answer to a problem, or want to pursue a different direction in life but just don’t know where to start. Coaching helps you identify what you need to do to achieve your goals by empowering you to take ownership of your life.
A consequence of my own critical illness and the death of my son has given me a new outlook on life: I value creativity and positivity as a means of moving forward in life and finding new purpose.
Through my blog, Headspace Perspective, I am an internationally recognised and respected source of positive, inspirational, creative motivation for moving forward through some of the worst things that life can throw at you.
If you are looking for a new outlook for yourself, your business, or your organisation do get in touch. I have on offer a range of bespoke packages to suit your needs. Get in touch for a FREE consultation to discuss your needs.
